However, it’s hard to go wrong with the following favorite hiking destinations:  Wildcat Mountain State Park, Effigy Mounds National Monument, Kickapoo Valley Reserve, and Wyalusing State Park.  Each of these hiking locales will offer you a quiet respite from everyday life and spectacular views over the Driftless Area.  It just so happens that the Kickapoo Valley Reserve and Wyalusing State Park also offer some spectacular trails for mountain biking.  The country roads that criss-cross the Driftless Area are wonderful places to spend a day biking, where riders will enjoy a wonderful tour through the scenic rural countryside.
